Are You Creating Something You Never Imagined Possible? Raising the Barr Weekly Memo: Issue 251

Many years ago, I had the opportunity to see the incredible glass exhibition of the famed glass sculptor, Dale Chihuly, at the King David citadel in Jerusalem. An awesome display, the likes of which I had never witnessed before, left a lasting impression on me.

The amazing intricacy of each piece, some comprised of hundreds or thousands of twisted, shard like pieces of glass, when seen from a distance portray a completely different uniform masterpiece that provides a sense of completeness and even serenity for the viewer.

Today, I am enjoying the crisp fall weather at the botanical garden in the Bronx, New York, strolling through the gardens and catching the last days of the latest Chihuly installation and light exhibit before it closes this weekend.

I’ve come to the conclusion that talent, combined with years of honing your craft, is nothing short of miraculous!

As the visionary leader of my team, I’m committed to push them and myself beyond our comfort zone and continue to work to improve our already fine skills to a level far more creative and forward thinking than ever thought possible. The end result is, in its own way, an amazing creation.

Be inspired by the beauty around with the understanding that it’s the small steps, one piece at a time, that offer the greatest wow and impact at the end of the day.

Push yourself out of the box and go create something you never imagined possible.
