Have You Searched Your Site Lately? Raising the Barr Weekly Memo: Issue 527

I came across an article on PageTraffic discussing the most asked questions on Google in 2023. Here are the top 10:

  1. what to watch – 9,140,000
  2. where’s my refund – 7,480,000
  3. how you like that- 6,120,000
  4. what is my ip address – 4,090,000
  5. how many ounces in a cup – 2,740,000
  6. What time is it- 1,830,000
  7. how I met your mother – 1,830,000
  8. how to screenshot on mac – 1,830,000
  9. where am i – 1,500,000
  10. how to lose weight fast – 1,500,000

That made me realize that I frequently (multiple times a day) use Google and Siri to search and get answers for various terms, keywords, and questions of interest.

With that in mind, I ask you: Have your search your site lately? In other words, how easy is it to search your own site and quickly find content of interest?

The late Jim Rohn said, Learning is the beginning of wealth. Learning is the beginning of health. Learning is the beginning of spirituality. Searching and learning is where the miracle process all begins.

I encourage you to make sure your site encompasses a rich search engine function so visitors can easily and accurately locate what they are looking for. And my recent thinking is that you should also implement such searches on important pages such as your podcast, videos, newsletters archive and blog pages. This way your visitors may have a superior navigation experience.
