Creating Amazing Content Raising the Barr Weekly Memo: Issue 172

This week’s reflection point: One of my favorite exercises that I conduct with my clients or during my speaking presentations is the creation of amazing content. I ask them the following:

  1. What is one of the key challenges your clients are facing?
  2. What are three powerful insights you could share with them to overcome this challenge?
  3. What is then the action they could take to transform their success or what provocative question could you ask to mobilize them to next action?

I then give them about five minutes to create the content and ask them to share their creation. The results are often astonishing. The key realization for most is that it should not take much time to create a powerful piece of content.

The other remarkable realization is that each of their insights could become a subsequent, unique and separate piece of content.

Here is my own example that demonstrates this formula: If I were to create a short video demonstrating this formula and assuming that one of the challenges my clients face is how to create success on the web, here is the piece I would create:

“I am often asked how to best achieve success on the web?

After years of working with thousands of clients I’ve come to realize that it actually boils down to your web presence, which includes these three key factors:

  1. Your Strategy – Which articulates the way you would paint success, identifying who are your buyers and what are their preferences, defining and creating your remarkable offerings that would make you irresistible and developing your marketing blueprint.
  2. Your Content – Which is the manifestation of your outstanding intellectual property that distinguishes you from others.
  3. Your Wow Factor – Which is your world-class site that showcases your extraordinary work, powerful relationships created, and the amazing results your clients have achieved with your help. It becomes the hub that helps establish your credibility.

Implement these three concepts and you will see your business reach new levels you never thought are possible.
