Creating Amazing Collaborations Raising the Barr Weekly Memo: Issue No. 74

Raising the Barr is a weekly memo, which is always pithy, powerful and succinct. It focuses on innovative ideas by maximizing your life and business while leveraging strategy, content, technology and the web, to help you transform the success.

This week’s reflection point: I just hung up the phone with one of my clients discussing a new business opportunity where both of us may be involved. Since each one of us is an expert in different areas, we quickly realized that having both of us involved makes complete business sense, will dramatically increase the outcome and success of the project, which would then create four wins. A win for our client, a win to their clients, and a separate win to each of us.

This is what I refer to as the concept of creating amazing collaborations, or 1 + 1 = 86. By bringing together the talent, experience and wisdom of experts, you radically enhance the potential achieved results. Another way to illustrate this is where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Here are a couple of examples:

  1. Phil Symchych is a dear client and friend of mine, who is a brilliant financial expert. He helps organizations and elite business owners create wealth. He collaborates with bankers to help their clients leverage the bank and his wisdom to transform the success of their business.
  2. For years, I have collaborated and partnered with my good friend and mentor, Alan Weiss, by strengthening his digital empire, creating a remarkable global community, co-authoring our Million Dollar Web Presence book, delivering a workshop together, streaming live events and productizing his online workshop archives, to name a few.

Powerful, genuine, strategic collaborations have a potential to transform your business exponentially. I encourage you to explore this remarkable possibility.

This week’s tip: Identify individuals or organizations that you should approach to discuss strategic collaboration. Then go and cerate amazing collaborations.
