I started creating content. Then I hit a wall I didn’t see coming.
Last week I wrote about my commitment to raise my visibility. I shared that commitment publicly, with full agreement from the toughest critic I know: myself. I then built my content rhythm calendar to hold me to it. There was no more hiding behind busy weeks, many client projects, or even better timing.
The pressure was real. The September 4 launch of the second AI Insider Lab group is getting closer, and the clock is ticking. Visibility is not optional when you teach visibility and I must walk my talk and talk my walk, I said to myself.
And here is the part that should have made everything easy. The content flowed with excitement and enthusiasm as I was sharing my thinking, my experience, and my voice. I first wrote the article as the carousel quickly emerged next as a by-product. I then leveraged AI to help me shape the video script for YouTube and the LinkedIn post, all carrying the concepts and voice from that single article. One source of truth, multiplied across several channels. The system worked exactly as I planned and designed. I was content with my content.
For most of my career, that production pipeline would have been the hard part. Writing takes time. Scripting takes skill. Repurposing one idea across multiple formats used to take a team. These were the reasons consultants gave for staying invisible, and for decades they were legitimate reasons. No time. No writers. No production capability.
AI just eliminated all of them. In one afternoon, my single article became a week of multi-platform content.
So why did I stall?
I had to stand in front of the camera and record. I have helped my clients do this thousands of times. I know the setup, the lighting, the delivery, the equipment, and the process. And that expertise is exactly what made my avoidance so comfortable. Knowing precisely what to do feels like progress. It is the most sophisticated excuse that exists, because no one can accuse you of not knowing better, least of all yourself.
My excuse was sitting in that box: the new office teleprompter that was not installed yet. It looked like a logistics problem. It was not. The uninstalled teleprompter gave my hesitation a place to hide.
The day before the video was scheduled to launch on YouTube, I realized the excuse ran out. So, I rolled up my sleeves, installed the teleprompter, put it to the test, and guess what? It worked perfectly, and then: lights, camera, action, and shortly thereafter, the video was up on YouTube.
Here is what I never thought about until I lived it. The wall did not appear despite the smooth AI system. It appeared because of it. When AI removes nearly all the friction from content creation, the resistance that remains has nowhere left to spread. It concentrates on the one step AI cannot take for you: being seen.
For years, invisibility had an alibi. No time. No writer. No production team. And it was all true. AI just took the alibi away. It helps you write, script, design, repurpose, and schedule. So, if you are still invisible today, face what that means. The barrier was never production. It was never the technology. It was never time.
It was always courage.

That is uncomfortable, and I am saying it as someone who teaches this for a living and still circled his own camera for days. AI is the great excuse remover. It hands you everything except the willingness to press record, hit publish, and put your name on your thinking. That last piece has no workaround, no tool, and no shortcut. It is also smaller than it looks. Mine dissolved in one afternoon with a screwdriver and a teleprompter.
So here is the question worth sitting with this week. Not “what should I be doing?” AI has made that answer cheaper and faster than it has ever been. The better question is: now that the old excuses are gone, what is the one act of visibility I have been avoiding, and what would make it easier to take?
For me it was installing a teleprompter the day before launch. For you it will be something else. But I promise you this: the barrier is smaller than it looks, the action is simpler than you think, and the reward is greater than you imagine.
And if part of what has been stopping you is building this kind of AI system in the first place, here is a first step with the friction already removed.
This September, I am opening the doors to the second group of the AI Insider Lab. This is where consultants, advisors, and thought leaders learn to work with AI as a strategic thinking partner, surface their expertise, and build the visibility their work deserves. The first group has already spent outstanding seven sessions proving what this environment produces. Now it is your turn.
Enrollment opens August 1. Get in line now.
The next group begins September 4, and enrollment runs August 1 through 29. Register your interest now and you will be the first to know when the doors open, you will receive the enrollment announcement the morning of August 1, and you will get priority access to the August 6 demonstration session.
