A few days ago, I came across a short video of Steve Jobs from 1985. Not 2015 or even a few years ago, but 1985. In just about a minute, he described exactly where we are today with AI.
He said his dream was this: what if we could capture the thinking of someone like Aristotle so that a student could ask him questions and receive answers?
If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth watching. It’s about a minute long and it will change how you think about AI:
That is not philosophical. That is not abstract. That is exactly what we now have.
Today, you don’t just have access to Aristotle. You have access to thousands of Aristotles, instantly.
Most people, however, are missing what this actually means.
They look at AI and see faster writing, better emails, and more efficient content creation. Useful, yes, but not transformational. Jobs was not talking about productivity. He was pointing to something far more powerful: intellectual leverage.
For the first time, knowledge is no longer static. It is interactive. You are no longer limited to reading what great thinkers wrote. You can engage with them, challenge them, and apply their thinking directly to your own decisions.
This creates an entirely different level of capability. You can:
- Ask Aristotle how his ethical framework applies to modern business decisions
- Challenge Peter Drucker on your pricing strategy or positioning
- Pressure test your thinking against structured, high level reasoning
And this is not something coming in the future. It is already here.
The real shift is not technological. It is behavioral. There are now two types of professionals emerging.

The second group uses AI to amplify their thinking. They:
- Build and refine strategic frameworks
- Simulate expertise and explore better decisions
- Extend their intellectual capacity beyond their own experience
The gap between these two groups will not be incremental. It will be significant.
For consultants, advisors, and thought leaders, this becomes even more critical. Your value is not your content. Your value is how you think. If your thinking is not structured, not systemized, and not leveraged, then it remains limited to your time and availability.
AI does not replace you. It exposes whether your thinking can scale.
Someone who knows how to leverage AI properly will not just move faster. They will make better decisions, create higher value, and build momentum that compounds.
