Pragmatic Technologies for Life and Business Success®

We often think the next big move in business requires inventing something new. It doesn’t. More often, the real breakthroughs come from noticing what’s already within reach—but undervalued, unstructured, or unclaimed.
That’s the difference between spinning wheels and accelerating results. If you want to create serious growth over the next year or two, start by asking better questions. Specifically:
“Act as a world-class business strategist and strategic growth advisor. Based on everything you know about my business, clients, projects, and goals, analyze the top business opportunities I am facing over the next 12–24 months. Identify which 3–5 opportunities have the highest potential for impact, revenue, visibility, or transformation — and explain specifically why each is important, what makes it timely, and exactly how I should act on it now. Prioritize clarity, pragmatism, and actionable steps I can take immediately.”
This isn’t just a reflection exercise. It’s a lens. It helps you zero in on the work that drives real momentum—the strategic bets that deserve your full focus while cutting out the distractions that don’t. It also reveals the treasure buried inside so many other half-formed ideas, abandoned efforts, or overlooked possibilities. Opportunities often hide inside other opportunities. Your job is to spot the gold.
You don’t need more to do. You need to know what matters most and double down on it.
Build Your Inner Circle of Clarity
Once you’ve uncovered those high-impact opportunities, here’s your next strategic move: build a virtual advisory board. Not a literal group of people you have to convene monthly, but a collection of minds and perspectives you can tap into when the stakes are high.
Start with this:
*Note: feel free to adjust the focus areas in the parentheses to align with your own areas of expertise and business goals.
“Act as a strategic advisor helping me form a high-impact virtual advisory board for my business. Recommend the 6–8 most valuable advisor types I should include, based on the business I’m building (AI course, digital strategy, content leverage, thought leadership). For each advisor type, describe their area of expertise, why their input is essential to my business success, and what specific contributions or outcomes they would help drive. Be precise, strategic, and prioritize leverage over titles.”
What you’ll uncover is not just who you need around you, but what kind of thinking your next phase of growth demands. It’s not about filling seats. It’s about gaining strategic advantage.
Now Raise the Bar
Here’s where it gets really interesting.
What if you assembled a virtual brain trust made of the sharpest minds to ever walk the planet and made them responsible for your next move?
What would Steve Jobs tell you to cut? What would Peter Drucker force you to measure? What would they insist you do next if their reputations were tied to your outcome?
Try this prompt:
*Note: you can substitute Steve Jobs and Peter Drucker with the thought leaders or experts you most admire or align with your industry.
“Assemble a virtual advisory board composed of elite experts across strategy, AI, marketing, pricing, retention, and thought leadership. For each advisor, including fictionalized versions of Steve Jobs and Peter Drucker, give me their #1 recommendation for my business over the next year. For each, explain what opportunity they would prioritize, why they believe it matters most, and exactly how they would tell me to execute on it — as if their career and reputation depended on my success. Make each advisor’s voice distinct, grounded, and brutally honest. This is not theoretical advice — it must be strategic, specific, and high-leverage.”
Peter Drucker once said, “There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all.” Clarity is not a luxury. It’s your sharpest weapon.
If you want your next 12–24 months to be transformative, stop trying to add more and start uncovering what you’ve been sitting on all along. Ask the right questions. Listen to the answers. Then move like your success depends on it — because it does.
