Too Much Information Raising the Barr Weekly Memo: Issue No. 38

This week’s reflection point: How often do you talk with individuals who seem to be in love with the sound of their own voice? They find it beneficial to share every fact known to them as they drone on and admire their own ideas.

I love the use of the acronym TMI or Too Much Information. Unfortunately, it is often the recipient that suffers the consequences since the tendency to share too much information creates confusion, boredom, lack of focus and a waste of time.

I’d like to suggest that the concept of brevity, strongly applies to your web presence and the creation of your content as well. People are busy and search for quick and helpful ideas to improve their lives and businesses.

This week’s tip: Why not say what you are about to say in at least 50% less words than you intended? Less is more and your audience will thank you for being succinct.
